We Are Vocal sees artists as thought-leaders always searching for new mediums of expression

We Are Vocal sees artists as thought-leaders always searching for new mediums of expression.

We believe that the virtual space is a stage with an intimate engagement through soliloquys transforming into theatrical mindscapes.

Nothing can replace the visceral energy of a stage performance, being inches from a great work of art, sitting in the womb of a resonant concert hall hearing every gesture of the cellist, but…increasingly, we purchase tickets to virtual Broadway and opera, download mp4s, pore over an artist’s oeuvre on an online gallery.

The creators of We Are Vocal can’t duplicate the textured experience of what is live. We can seek to offer an alternative to a night out at the movies or a binge out on your favourite series. Entertainment that will make you think and a continuing relationship with art.

We Are Vocal explores the art of the possible to the art of the probable. We Are Vocal supports performers, writers and directors.

American in Tent

We Are Vocal Virtual Venue community space with 6 artists

The American in Tent is a collective of American artists expressing their take on the  American narrative more personally while mitigating the carbon footprint of global festivals. We welcome cultural exchange and seek to be part of a greater global awareness. Even in the darkest of times, the artist’s voice must be heard.

Mercury’s Wake Podcast

We Are Vocal Powerful Engaging 5 Part Audio Drama Mercury’s Wake

Over a long weekend, strangers converge in Caesars Palace Las Vegas.

Mercury’s Wake (character development and early platform on which MW The Long Weekend draws inspiration) “Before Chaos” by Stephanie Vlahos

Meet Before Chaos, the novella that inspired the sci-fi novel Mercury’s Wake – The Long Weekend.

Follow the backstories of a few disillusioned strangers on the loose in Las Vegas, trying to make sense of the crazy world. Before Chaosoffers insights into the backstories of characters in the Mercury’s Wake series, expanding them with humor and tenderness.

Beginning with Covid lockdown, author Stephanie Vlahos realized that a character-driven book about people disillusioned by their world couldn’t match what we were experiencing – a zeitgeist rife with unrelenting human crises, apathy, anger, and fast technological advances.

As the world tipped, so, too, the story of Mercury’s Wake, from Before Chaosto Blind Chaos in Mercury’s Wake – The Long Weekend

Mercury’s Wake – The Long Weekend addresses what we’re living as a metaphysical sci-fi mystery saga walking us through four days of backstories and premonitions, murder, high stakes gambling, parallel universes, an alien prophesy, interdimensional travel, metaphor, and ordinary people compelled by the reflections of a fictitious character in a book found in an abandoned Cadillac just up from Chaco Canyon, New Mexico. Mercury’s Wake freely explores alternate realities, universes, former lives, and karmic destinies as landscapes for its characters. But every story ever told is an alternate reality, a parallel universe, a former life, a future. Every parallel universe deserves its variations on a theme and every cloud has its silver lining.
