Bringing Voice to the Word
For much of my life I have been fascinated by the voice.
Not simply singing or speaking, but the ways in which people express and share their deep thoughts, but how do we go deeper, release over to a language within us we aren’t even aware of? I know that musicians and singers do it all the time, go into a place where it almost feels as if you’re the vessel for someone else’s voice and yet, it’s your voice. Whether through music, performance, storytelling, teaching, writing or conversation, I have found myself returning to the same question:
How do we give voice to the things that need to be heard?
This space is an exploration of that question.
Some reflections may emerge as essays. Others may take the form of conversations, podcasts, performances, songs, stories or works in progress. All are part of an ongoing journey through creativity, storytelling, mentorship, music and artistic practice.
Bringing Voice to the Word is less a publication than a continuing conversation about creativity, meaning, performance, learning and the unexpected paths that shape us.
